Kekova
Kaleköy, which falls directly opposite the island of Kekova, is a small but very special village that can only be reached by sea because there is no highway connection. There are only a few pensions in this village, which is not allowed to be built because it is built on the city of Simena. Watch the lace-like shores, the sea and the island of Kekova from the castle, which is believed to have been built by the Knights of St. Jean. Kekova, off the coast of Kaleköy, is a deserted island where no one lives.
The island of Kekova is famous for the ruins of the sunken city on the shore facing Kaleköy, which has been asleep under the sea for thousands of years. The sunken city collapsed 2200 years ago during a great earthquake that also shook Simena and Aperlai. Due to the danger posed by the heavy boat traffic between the island and the coast, diving and swimming around these ruins is prohibited. The village of Üçağız is famous for its ancient ruins and fish.
